An Herbal Practice

⌘ About

I came to herbalism because Western medicine was unable to respond to my personal needs. Unlike Western medicine’s more linear symptom-to-diagnosis modality, I aim to treat the whole person. I firmly believe that Western and Eastern medicine can complement each other, and use herbalism to help my clients on their own path to healing

I began my formal studies at California School of Herbal Studies where my teachers and peers opened the door into this interconnected universe of herbalism. Here I began to align more closely with the natural world, and as I see it we are part of and within this vast universe. Embarking on my herbalist practice during a global pandemic demanded resilience, patience, and humility.

I completed my training at ArborVitae School of Traditional Herbalism. My teachers and fellow students guided me with compassion and gratitude, and I hope to offer the same to my clients. My clinical approach is to treat all beings with an open-mind, respect, and attention that is both individual and holistic. Humans are complicated, and my clients constantly inspire me to listen with an open heart.

The initial consultation will go over the client’s history and concerns. The goal is to have a holistic impression of the individual. Patterns will often emerge which may be both physical and emotional mind. I will create an individualized protocol with herbal medicines, food recommendations, lifestyle suggestions, and resources. My theoretical perspectives include Western herbalism, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Ayurvedic practices.

Follow-up included (15-30 minutes) with discussion about protocol.
